Come on, tumblr, I though we already went over this with “fake” geek girls. Because guess the fuck what? You don’t get to decide what makes someone else “worthy” of being a girl gamer because despite what this post would have you believe, the only two requirements of being a girl gamer are that 1. you identify as a girl, and 2. that you enjoy playing video games in some way, shape, or form.

Yeah. That’s really it. I’m real fucking tired of geek/nerd culture elitists who think they’re better than anyone else based on the way they choose to experience it. I really don’t get why it’s in any way necessary. Really? In case it slipped your mind, video games are meant to be for fun. So why don’t you let people have fun playing the games they want to play. And if you really have so much of an issue with their game choices, why don’t you, oh, I don’t know, point them in the direction of some games you enjoy playing and that you think they might enjoy too!

And you’re accusing them of doing it for attention? Hey, news flash: seeking attention isn’t bad. Don’t shame people for wanting attention and don’t let anyone shame you for wanting it either. In fact, I could even accuse you of making this post in the first place because you want to show off your obviously superior gaming skills because *~*~~*you’re not like other girls*~~*~* (huge eye roll). But I won’t. Because I’m not a fucking asswad who shames people for wanting attention.

And one last thing? I’m so sorry you have a problem with the way these girls express their femininity because, oh, I don’t know, you think it degrades your whole gender or something? Need I point out the part of this post where you called Peach a “fucking whore?” Yeah. I didn’t think so.
